Helping Great People Do Great Things

Hi there! I'm a technology support professional who specializes in assisting people, not just fixing equipment (but I'm good at that too). I offer deep technical troubleshooting skills, calm communication, and a genuine desire to connect with my clients. Hire me!

A Long History of Support

I have over 30 years of technical support under my belt, starting in the "ancient times" of Windows 95, fixing the family PC. I went on to help classmates and staff at school and university before moving on to work at Ford and Google. I learned how to repair issues with every version of Windows since, and branched out to MacOS (my "daily driver") and Linux (for projects and servers).

The Experience That You Need

Supporting Everyone

Comfortable in just about any environment, I've helped people with tech issues in classrooms, factories, shop floors, concert halls, and remotely.

Broad Skillset

I have longstanding experience supporting Windows, MacOS, and Linux systems, mobile devices, software, Google Apps, account issues, and permissions.

Adept Communication

I am certified and educated specifically in assisting users in person, over the phone, and through tickets and chats with compassion.

Root-Cause Troubleshooting

I excel at digging deep, understanding systems fully, and resolving issues in ways that prevent repeat problems.

How I Work

I balance individual focus with collaboration. I'm comfortable owning a problem end-to-end, but I also value teamwork and shared knowledge. I'm most motivated when I can see the big picture and when I can feel that I have a positive impact, especially when I can brighten someone's day. Give me time and adequate access, and I can become an expert in just about anything.

What About Culture and Attitude?

I'm a nerdy, exuberant guy who got into tech support specifically because I like to help people and get to know them. I also enjoy building and tweaking stuff. I've made Arduino music boxes, Minecraft servers, and an off-grid solar power system. I'm also a gamer (PC and TTRPG) and interested in all kinds of science and technology.
